Fine Art Photography

My personal photography is heavily influenced by classical fine art and surrealism. But also in a world in twilight, dark and cold. Strength and confidence. Peace and tranquility. A great quantity of melancholy. With a bit of a gloom, sadness and mystery. As a means of expressing my ideas and emotions, I mainly make use of the self-portrait. My photographic work can be easily recognized by my use of black and white, lights, contrasts and elements, such as the bird, which are repeated in a large number of my artworks.

About self-portraiture: Creating self-portraits often involves deep introspection. The process of setting up the shot, choosing the composition, and capturing the image can lead to self-discovery and a deeper understanding of one's emotions and ideas. With complete control over the creative process. The setting, lighting, pose, and overall aesthetic, ensuring that the image accurately conveys their intended message. They offer a safe space for self-expression. One can explore feelings, thoughts, and experiences without fear of judgment or the need to explain themselves to others. Telling personal stories or convey complex emotions through visual narratives, themes such as identity, vulnerability, strength, or self-acceptance. Also, many people find that creating self-portraits can be a therapeutic process, providing an outlet for pent-up emotions or offering a way to cope with life's challenges. It is a deeply personal and versatile means of artistic expression, enabling individuals to convey their emotions and ideas in a unique and compelling way, making it a valuable tool for both creative exploration and self-discovery.
